The teams

Over the course of the five editions of Tour of Britain to date we've had some great names take part in the race, some were already famous when they first arrived, for others, Tour of Britain has been a barometer of their future success.

Some of the riders who've given early pointers of what was to come at Tour of Britain include Nick Nuyens (winner in 2005), Andy Schleck (winner of the E.ON King of the Mountains in 2006) and Matt Goss (Yellow jersey wearer 2006, Stage winner 2007).
